The use of a GPS is encouraged by the club. It will assist you in having better insight into every turn on a tour. It is also a necessity for any lead or sweep. The key to a great route on a GPS is a properly constructed .gpx file and correct settings on your GPS. This 30 minute tutorial will walk you through the basics of how a GPS works, the importance of a .gpx file, and the settings on your GPS device. There will be a Q&A session following the presentation.
